I think you're right about the similarity between english and chinese ancient language when it comes to verses or poems. I sometimes feel modern chinese is less powerful in expression, less neat and tend to be prolix 4 h6 F; `6 J; z+ [: o' u# K. o! Z1 ? W) N) |8 f- y, [
